JM Family Center Helps Young Minds Bloom

In February 2002, a groundbreaking ceremony was hosted by JM Family’s Chairman and CEO Pat Moran and Deerfield Beach Mayor Al Capellini to commemorate the start of construction on the JM Family Center. The event was a family affair, including a group of associates’ children leading the Pledge of Allegiance and taking first dibs at turning the dirt. At the time, JM Family became the third Broward County company to offer its associates onsite child care. Six months later, the JM Family Center opened its doors on August 22, 2002. The 14,000-square-foot facility accommodates 108 full-time and 44 school age children, and features 10 classrooms, two multipurpose areas and a special art studio.
